Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

All students undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation must now have and provide a Unique Student Identifier, most commonly referred to as a USI in order to receive their results.

A USI is a Student identification ID, in which enables students to easily access their training records in one system - regardless of the training provider. The Unique Student Identifier came into effect on 1st January 2015.

Students who do not already hold a Unique Student Identifier will need to apply for one prior to enrolling into any of the above courses.

Please refer to the links below for information on applying for a USI. If you require assistance, please contact the MPA office on (08) 8292 4000 and we will be happy to answer any queries and assist you with your application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Training Results for Nationally Accredited training cannot be issued to Students until a valid USI is provided.

USI Transcript

The USI Transcript was activated on 22nd May 2017. USI account holders can now use their USI to access their national training record online in the form of a USI Transcript.  The transcript will show nationally recognised training from 2015.

5 key things you should know about your USI Transcript

  1. If you do not provide a USI to your training organisation, your training cannot appear in your transcript.
  2. Your USI training record starts with training received in 2015 – it cannot include training delivered before you had a USI.
  3. USI records will be updated every year, but only once a year for many training organisations - so you may need to rely on the documents from your training organisation in the most recent year.
  4. If something seems to be missing or wrong on your transcript check out our information on possible errors first and then contact the training organisation who delivered the training to confirm, and seek a correction.
  5. Only your training organisation can make corrections to your training records. Have your USI handy when you call them.
