2017 President's Lunch

Our 2017 President's Lunch was held on Friday 3rd November 2017 at the Adelaide Oval.

Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon was former AFL Player and Television Personality, Troy Gray.

The event kicked off with pre-drinks and networking on arrival in the William Magarey Room, with scenic views overlooking the Adelaide Oval.

Approximately 350 guests were in attendance at this year's event - with a mixture of plumbers, industry representatives and affiliates.

Following the President's Welcome from David Hurst, our Apprentice High Achievement Awards were presented to Graham Farmer (1st Year), Peter Farrimond (2nd Year), Chanel Angrave (3rd Year) and Daniel Hart (4th Year).

Our first Guest Speaker for the afternoon was GWA Chief Executive Officer, Tim Salt who spoke passionately about the importance of product safety and compliance.

After lunch, we welcomed a Special Guest in former Senator Nick Xenophon. Nick provided an insight into his plans for making improvements to benefit the industry, following his resignation as an Australia Senator and his plans to stand in the South Australian election.

Our special entertainment for the afternoon was Comedian and TV Personality Tom Gleeson who had guests in a fit of laughter for the entirety of his performance.

To complete what was a fantastic afternoon, we presented our 2017 Milestone Award Recipients for 25 and 50 years Membership, as well as the MPA Gold Medal & CITB Award for Excellence presentation.

We wish to congratulate all of our Award Winners and Nominees.
