Q & A | SA Water
Questions Answered by SA Water
- If the Inspection point cannot be found and SA water does not find it, but the drain is still blocked - what do we do?
If SA Water is unable to find the IP, then they will attempt to clear from the main and you will be notified if it is still an issue on the customer side.
- What happens if you cannot locate the IP and SA Water find that it is blocked on their side - is there a reimbursement?
If you are unable to locate the IP, you can still lodge a claim. Provided the IP was blocked at the time of SA Water's attendance, your claim will be honoured.
Q & A | OFFICE OF THE TECHNICAL REGULATOR
Questions Answered by Office of the Technical Regulator
- With commercial dishwashers that have chemical injection into the unit, (Eg Hobart Dishwashers) do they need to have a form of Backflow Prevention device located on the water system prior to feeding the dishwasher?
If they are WaterMarked to AS2845 they will not. If they do not they will require an RPZ backflow prevention valve.
- In relation to hot and cold clipping and securing, if you use approved silicone to hold pipework in timber noggins - do you need to use side entry clips?
Silicon is not a clipping device, stud clips must be installed at the nominated distances both horizontal and vertical, you may use silicon as an extra in timber studs (as long as the clipping distance complies), the same applies to metal stud penetrations.
- Are the review of the Standards and PCA going to ensure that the content aligns?
Yes that is the purpose of the review committees.
