We are proud to say that we recently had the privilege of donating 10 boxes of toilet paper (that's 480 rolls), purchased from Who Gives A Crap to Foodbank SA.
In conjunction with ABC Adelaide, it was important for us to reach out and help those in need in these difficult times through the wonderful work of Foodbank SA.
Although toilet paper has recently returned to our shelves, at the time of our donation it was still very difficult to come by. Foodbank SA confirmed they had run low on supplies of toilet paper and were very relieved to receive our donation.
Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide.
Foodbank's incredible work includes:
- Providing free fruit and veg to those in need
- Hamper Program, which include every day staples and essentials
- Mobile food hubs, which help get food to families in need
- Food hubs, in which welfare agencies can provide vouchers to those in need to purchase food
- Foodbank Pop ups, which are held in regional areas and include free food distribution
- Country and regional outreach - regional Foodbank branches in the Riverland, Mount Gambier and Whyalla
If you wish to support Foodbank SA, there are many ways including volunteering, donating, partnering and fundraising.
