Master Plumbers South Australia welcomes the Federal Government’s ‘HomeBuilder’ scheme aimed at supporting the construction industry to build new homes and complete renovation projects.
Master Plumbers CEO, Andrew Clarke, said “The HomeBuilder scheme is fantastic news for our plumbing industry and the entire construction sector.”
“Our plumbing members have been very concerned about what the next 6-12 months will look like.”
“This relief will help secure jobs for many construction workers across Australia.”
Master Plumbers also wishes to warn the public that when engaging plumbers, always obtain at least three quotes prior to plumbing and gas work being undertaken.
“We have received a number of reported cases by consumers, that certain plumbing companies (non members) are deliberately charging excessive amounts of money for plumbing and gas work,” said Andrew.
“Majority of the cases have been reported by elderly people who live in the Eastern Suburbs of South Australia.”
“It’s disappointing to hear these reports, this is why we always recommend the public to seek competitive quotes for all plumbing and gas work, including emergency jobs.”
“I highly recommend the community to consider a Master Plumber Member when selecting a plumber.”
“Our members are reputable licensed plumbers, who are committed to a Code of Ethics that protect our community.”
